„Cycling for reforestation campaign
PALANGKARAYA – Michael ‚Michi‘ Zeh (28), a German teacher, cycling around the world to campaign the reforestation of rain forest. He started the journey in the beginning of 2016. The destination is New Zealand. To date, Michi is in Central Kalimantan to see the tropical rain forest. ‚I saw the forest is not the same anymore. During my cycling in Central Kalimantan I saw palm oil plantations and the remnants of burned forest everywhere. It is really saddening,‘ said Michi who was met at the Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation’s Central Kalimantan Orangutan Reintroduction Center in Nyaru Menteng, Palangkaraya on Tuesday 20 June. According to Michi, in one country he usually spends 50-60 days to visit some places. ‚I have a blog in internet. I write all the stories about forest and my journey at www.michi-unterwegs.de,‘ he said.“
