Somewhere near Ayancik we met a photographer and he took this picture of us.
The new highway in Gerze.
In Gerze we stayed at Elifs and Yalcins almost 100 years old mansion. Yalcin doesn’t like photos, so his best friend is on the picture.
Prepairing with reflective vest and extra light in front of one of the tunnels.
One of our gas station brakes. 😉
Short before Samsun we met this guy from Hong Kong, he started nine months ago and wants to cycle to Barcelona.
Sunset in Samsun.
Our two hosts in Samsun.
Very nice bread in a very nice bakery, but sadly just beside the autobahn.
The cycling these days was actually really bad, because their is only one road and no alternative. And this road is a big highway with a lot of traffic. Sadly it stays like this until Batumi in Georgia.
But we met a lot of nice people. Hitchhikers from German on their way to Georgia.
Eating some cherries.
Lizards. 🙂
Sorry the picture is bad, but these three guys escorted us to their homes in PerÅŸembe. We were really lucky, because there was a big storm at night.
Happy to meet other cyclists. Nico and Rachel from England on their honeymoon trip to China. Www.onemoreadventure.co.uk
And one more great random invitation from Gökhan in Gerze.
In Görele we were intercepted by Hasan from warmshowers.org, who already hosted over 400 cyclists. In the evening we went to the town and participated the free fast-breaking Ramadan food.
