After some time you get used to it, but the cotton tractors with only three wheels look weird in the beginning.

Market in a small village. It’s not so nice for us because it causes much more traffic with a lot of crazy taxis and minibuses.

After a cold and cloudy day we feel cozy inside the tent. But it is a cold night in-between the apple trees. The next morning we have the first frost on the tent.

Blue sky again, but still very cold. The sun helps us to warm up.

No it’s not snow, it’s cotton.

For lunch we find a nice restaurant, they put a table on the sunny terrace in-between the trees for us.

We get coffee and tea. On the left side it’s coffee, on the right side it’s tea. In Uzbekistan they make really poor coffee, they use only one spoon of instant coffee for one pot.

By the way, do you know the riddle: What happens if you put one spoon of coffee in the tea cup, then stir and put one spoon of the mix back in the coffee cup. Is more coffee in the tea cup or more tea in the coffee cup now?

We meet Matthias, a German guy, who started cycling home from China. Together we visit Samarkand. Unfortunately the sky is cloudy today, all buildings and colors look a bit trist.

The next day we continue our way to Tashkent. We stop over at the madrasahs for one more picture with blue sky.
